HR Corner: Public Service Loan Forgiveness Process

The Department of Education created the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) to encourage individuals to enter and continue to work full-time in public service jobs. The PSLF program allows eligible borrowers to cancel the remaining balance of their Direct loans after serving full time at an eligible public service organization for at least 10 years. Creighton University maintains tax-exempt status under 501(c)(3) and is a qualified employer for this program. Though Creighton University is a qualified employer, individuals seeking loan forgiveness must meet other requirements as required by the PSLF program.

If this applies to you, please upload the necessary forms to the File Drop and Human Resources will fill out then send back.
