Kingfisher Institute: How to Hide an Empire Lecture by Daniel Immerwahr, March 31

You’re invited to attend a public lecture, “How to Hide an Empire,” on Thursday, March 31, at 7 p.m. CDT, 5 p.m. MST in the Mike and Josie Harper Center, Hixson-Lied Auditorium. Daniel Immerwahr, PhD, professor of history at Northwestern University, will deliver the program, based on his acclaimed book, How to Hide an Empire: A History of the Greater United StatesLearn more and register today.

Immerwahr has had his essays and reviews published in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Review of Books, The Nation and others, covering United States history, foreign policy, imperialism and even the allegorical science fiction empires in Star Wars and Dune. 

Book sales and signing of copies of How to Hide an Empire will take place outside the auditorium after the lecture.

This event is presented by the John C. Kenefick Faculty Chair in the Humanities. It will be livestreamed and is free and open to the public.
