Service & Justice Trips Coordinator App

2010 Day of Formation1) Read the Coordinator Role and Responsibilities

2) The application is now available. Please fill out the online portion of the application and hit the “submit” button. You will need your insurance info ready for the emergency form portion. Please plan for 30-60 minutes as there are essays and you are not able to save your application and return at a later time. If you begin the application, we will receive what you type in even if it is not complete, please plan to complete it at one sitting.

3) In order to complete the application process…

You need to print and/or bring the following documents/items to the CCSJ Office in the Harper Center (2067):
-Your payment of $200 for full week, or $100 for half week (we accept cash, check or credit card in the office).
-You will need to sign up for an interview and turn in your payment (interviews are in our office, Nov. 2-4, 2011; no need to dress up)
-Payments and Interview sign ups will be Oct. 27, 28, and 31. in our office. Application deadline Oct. 31, 2011 by 4 pm.

Work Sample Request:
As a way to gather new creative ideas for our committees and program in general, we are asking coordinators to bring to their interviews a sample of what they offer as a coordinator to the Service Trips Program. This could be something creative such as a T-shirt design idea or a new flyer layout. This could be a letter to a family member telling them about your trip that we could use in our fundraising material or as an advocacy piece. Thinking of our events and looking at the roles of a coordinator, feel free to bring in anything that shows your talent (other than your outline of a reflection which you already included in your application).

Coordinator Interviews: Wed, Nov. 2nd- Fri, Nov. 4th (Sign-up in office)
Week of Service: Mon, Nov. 7th- Fri, Nov. 18th (Sign-up in office/online)
-Options will include: Tues. Nov. 8 from 3:45-7:45; Tues Nov. 8 8:15 am-12:15 pm; Wed. Nov. 9 6-10 pm; Nov. 17 1-5 pm; Nov. 14 6-10 pm; Nov. 10 Thurs. 3:55-7:55 pm

Day of Formation: Sat, Nov. 19th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
SBST General Info Night: Mon, Nov. 21st @ 9pm (Harper Center Ballroom) and Tue, Nov. 22nd @ 12pm (CCSJ)
SBST Participant Interviews: Wed, Nov. 30th- Fri, Dec. 2nd
Coordinator Meetings: Jan. 12th: 9-11pm, Jan. 19th: 9-11pm, Feb. 23: 9-11pm
General Meetings: Jan. 26th: 9-11pm, Feb. 9th: 9-11pm, Feb. 23: 9-11pm
Send-Off Service: March 1st, 9-10 pm (St. John’s Church)
Spring Break and/or Fall Break: Spring 2012: March 2nd- March 10th, Fall 2012: October 12th- October 20th
Reunion: Sun. March 18th 2-4 pm
SBST Soup & Stories: Wed. March 28th, 11:30am-1:30pm (Harper Center 2066)

** Limited need-based scholarships are available. Download the “Service_Trip_2012_Scholarship_Application” and send it to Kelly Orbik (korbik@creighton.edu). Scholarship applications are due by Oct. 26.

Payment will not be deposited until you have been offered a position and accepted. If you withdraw from a trip after Dec. 16, 2011 no refund will be available.
