February is Ignatian Family Advocacy Month (IFAM), a chance for Creighton students, and students from from Jesuit high schools and colleges all across the country to meet with their local and national representatives to advocate for one of three national priorities. We’d love to have you participate in one of these legislative visits with us.
Anyone interested in IFAM participation, please come to a meeting on Tuesday January 29th, from 9-10:30 in Harper 3023
Remember, you don’t have to be an expert to participate in your democracy, so don’t be nervous about coming
Ignatian Solidarity Network has published their talking points on the three national priorities
·Sustainable Environmental Practices
· Human Comprehensive Immigration Reform
· Domestic Poverty
We will be adding Omaha & Creighton specific information to these.
We have scheduled visits with
· Sen. Mike Johanns
· Rep. Lee Terry
· State Senator Jeremy Nordquist
· State Senator Sue Crawford
…and more visits to come!
All visits will be in groups of 6-12 students with two veteran students serving as visit coordinators.
