Economic Justice: Don’t balance the budget on the backs of the poor

Jesuits IHSJesuit Advocacy

As policymakers in Washington debate a deficit reduction plan, we need you to let your voice be heard. Decisions made before year’s end will have long-lasting implications for our nation’s future.

Underlying these decisions is a moral question: What kind of society do we want to be? Presumably a moral one, and being a moral society requires feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, welcoming the stranger and caring for the sick. Support the Jesuit’s petition that calls for the protection of the poor and vulnerable people of our society during this time! (Read more about why we are called to sign petitions and write letters to be voices for and with vulnerable people)
