Immigration has been a hot topic in the recent presidential debates. An overwhelming 72% of Americans want to clear the path towards citizenship for undocumented immigrants, and the DREAM Act offers part of that path.
The DREAM Act takes an important step towards respecting the human rights of young, undocumented immigrants. This key legislation provides an opportunity to gain legal status for undocumented students who entered the country before the age of 15,
have been physically present in the United States for at least five years, graduate from high school, and/or complete at least two years of college or military service.
