Moving sessions from one folder (course) to another

It’s very easy to move your content around on BlueCast. Here is a quick guide on how it works.

NOTE: At this time it is only possible to move one session at a time, there is no way to move multiple sessions to a different folder.

  • To get started, navigate to bluecast.creighton.edu and log in using the “BlueLine Account” option and your NETID and Blue password.
  • Once you’re logged in, on the left hand navigation┬ácolumn, Locate and click the folder (course) with the session you would like to move.

in this example Folder 1 has two sessions in it and we want to move 1 of the sessions to Folder 2

  • Locate the recording you would like to move in the session list, hover over it with your curser and click the settings “cog” that appears on the right45ClickSettings
  • In the session settings window, find the “Folder:” line, currently it displays the folder this recording is located it. Click the edit button to the right of the folder title

The folder title will turn into a drop down list. use this to select the new folder that you want to move this session to, Then click save.

You’re done! The session will now be found under its new folder. It will inherit any sharing permissions that were set on the new folder. One thing to keep in mind is that BlueCast sorts sessions by the date and time they were created. If you are moving a session from a previous semster it may appear at the very end of the list in BlueLine or you may have to click through a few pages in BlueCast to find the newly moved session.
